Project-based work in teaching business English: promoting a product
Abstract
The article presents stages in project-based teaching and learning of business English.
The introduction starts by a general description of the post-secondary vocational
programme, the level of business English and the teaching methods used. It then focuses
on the advantages of project-based work, followed by an outline of its steps (phases)
from the selection of the topics to the (student’s and teacher’s) evaluation and
assessment of the project.
The conclusion of the article summarises the arguments why project-based work in
teaching business English is useful. These are addressing problems from real life,
acquiring or developing organisational and collaborative skills and applying different
methods of research when solving various problems.
